Maintenance instructions for furniture with a standard foil as the surface finish

Cleaning recommendations: Use common cleaning liquids or detergents for cleaning plastic materials. We recommend that you test the compatibility of individual detergents and the foil on a non-visible place first. To clean rich color substance stains, use water with a bit of standard detergent as soon as possible; do not use abrasive cleaners. Do not leave spots to dry – they will be more difficult to remove! You can clean remnants of stains, particularly grease and sediment, using warm solution of 70% water and 30% liquid soap applied with a soft toothbrush. If necessary, repeat the procedure. If the stains are difficult to remove, you can also use a cleaner with a maximum of 15-20% alcohol content (Sidolin – Clin Universal or Ajax, window cleaner). To finish, wash the remnants of detergents using warm water and dry the foil using a chamois window wipe.

Note: Do not use colored cleaners (neither diluted nor concentrated), their colors could leave marks on the foil! Steam cleaning or high-pressure water cleaning are not suitable for cleaning foil-covered furniture surfaces. These surfaces are not resistant to organic solvents such as paint thinners, varnish removers or concentrated alcohol.

Caring for Overface print products

Cleaning recommendations: The surface should not be cleaned during the first 4 weeks after its production! Use warm water and a soft cloth afterwards. We also have had success using special car wipes that come prepackaged with a cleaning solution (for example Sonax Clean and Drive).

Note: Keep in mind that any detergent you use should not contain aromatic hydrocarbons, esters, ketones, halogenated hydrocarbons or an alcohol content over 25%. We do not recommend using vinegar-based detergents. Detergents should not be abrasive (coarse, scraping or harsh), they should also be dissolved in warm water.

Caring for products with matte foil surfaces

Decor numbers: 1-8 (matte vanilla), 4-8 (matte blackberry), 171 (matte white), 540 (matte alder), 615 (sycamore maple), 910 (matte pear) and other decors on offer. The matte look of unicolor and woodgrain decors is achieved by using special varnish additives. Light decors in particular are sensitive to highly colored liquids and substances. To maintain the surface quality, it is necessary to follow these recommendations.

Cleaning recommendations: Clean dark stains (for example, coffee, mustard, curry or red wine stains) with water and standard (non-abrasive) detergent as soon as possible. Do not let the stains dry; it might not be possible to clean them entirely. You can clean the remnants of stains, particularly grease and sediment, using a warm solution consisting of 70% water and 30% liquid soap and a soft toothbrush or by adding a detergent according to producer instructions or alcohol (ethanol, maximum 10% alcohol content). If necessary, repeat the procedure. To finish, wash the remnants of detergents using warm water and dry the foil using a chamois window wipe. To prevent surface damage, test the detergent effects by applying it in a small quantity to a non-visible place for a short time. It is necessary to follow the producer's instructions.

Note: Do not use colored cleaners (neither diluted nor concentrated), their colors could leave marks on the foil!

Caring for high gloss foil products

Decor numbers: 110 (high gloss white), 114 (high gloss ivory), 117(high gloss vanilla), 118 (high gloss yellow papyrus), 131 (high gloss green), 134 (high gloss olive), 142 (high gloss blue), 145 (high gloss lilac), 151 (high gloss Bordeaux), 153 (high gloss Maranello red), 155 (high gloss raspberry), 158 (high gloss red papyrus), 165 (high gloss cappuccino), 168 (high gloss brown papyrus), 169 (high gloss black), 185 (high gloss silver wave), 186 (high gloss oxygen), 187 (high gloss okapa), and all other decors on offer.

Note: This is not the "varnish" surface finish!

Cleaning recommendations: Products are supplied with blue or transparent protective film to prevent damage during transport, manipulation and assembly. The surface should not be cleaned until 4 weeks after the removal of this film!

Caring for products with the patina additional surface finish

Note: "Patina" is an additional surface finish of foil-wrapped furniture doors with a high amount of handwork. Products gain the look of furniture that has matured with age and use. Products with the patina additional surface finish retain properties of the original PVC foils surfaces. The only difference is the need for adequate manipulation, usage and care.

Cleaning recommendations: Wipe the dirty face surfaces with a soft damp cloth and a detergent without sand, powder or any other abrasives, and dry it immediately afterwards.

Note: The additional surface finish varnish can be damaged by solvents, mechanical strain, scratching or rubbing of the furniture by pressing objects with sharp or abrasive surfaces against it.

Caring for products with the additional surface finish "varnish"

Note: "Varnishing" is an additional surface finish of foil-covered furniture doors. It is not the "high gloss" surface finish! When applying the "varnish" additional surface finish, a difference between smooth and coarser surface foils will be visible (for example, beads, "orange peel", etc.)! If you are interested in this finish, we recommend that you consult the choice with your furniture door supplier. Products with the "varnish" additional surface finish retain the properties of the original PVC foil finish. The only difference is the need for adequate manipulation, usage and care.

Cleaning recommendations: Wipe the dirty face surfaces with a fine damp cloth and a detergent without sand, powder or any abrasives, and dry it immediately afterwards.

Note: The additional surface finish varnish can be damaged by solvents, mechanical strain, scratching or rubbing of the furniture by pressing objects with sharp or abrasive surfaces against it.

If the maintenance instructions for our products are not followed, warranty claims will not be acknowledged.
